The New York International Latino Film Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a few San Antonio connections.

Kicking off this year’s festival on July 28 is ‘La Mission,’ starring Harlandale alum Jesse Borrego and his ‘Blood In, Blood Out’ co-star Benjamin Bratt.

Also screening during the six-day festival is ‘Don’t Let Me Drown,’ starring San Antonio native Ricardo Antonio Chavira, (‘Desperate Housewives,’ below), and ‘The Bookie,’ a locally-made film by Cevallos Brothers Productions.
