San Antonio-based band Girl in a Coma is up for an American Latino TV Award for Favorite American Latino Newcomer.

The fan-based awards, sponsored by the syndicated Latino-themed show ‘American Latino' since 2007, recognize “excellence and achievement in the American Latino community,” according to a news release from the show's publicists. Other categories include favorite hitmaker, favorite athlete and favorite live performance.

Voting ended on Friday, May 15. Winners will be announced in July.
